As an example, let’s say our cam produces a maximum lift of 0.600-inch. Multiply 0.600-inch lift x the 400 lbs/in gives us 240 pounds of load. At an installed height of 1.88" the spring load is 155lbs. The spring rate is 370lbs/in. This installed height is a little taller than usual. When I ordered valves I just got them +0.100" long.
