WebNov 9, 2004 · Addendum: I used this oil in a comparative test versus another two different cutting oils that I had, one being oil, one being water soluble oil. I was running a 5/16" end mill at 1380 RPM in mild steel cutting a keyway in a shaft and the Rigid oil handily outperformed the other two. All chatter disappeared and the cut was noticeably smoother.
